We all experience and respond to stress in unique ways, so knowing how your personality affects your stress levels can be quite helpful. The following stress quizzes and assessments can help you to better understand yourself and your relationship with stress, and find resources for effective stress management.

1

Are You an Optimist or a Pessimist?

Do you tend to see opportunities or roadblocks? Your explanatory style has a lot to do with the life you experience, and how you interpret these experiences. There are subtle (and not-so-subtle) differences between how optimists and pessimists see the world. Find out where your biases lie and find resources to brighten your world.

Perfectionists take excellence to a different, more stressful level than that of mere high achievers. Perfectionists tend to stress more, enjoy life less, and cause stress in those around them as well. Do you sometimes wonder if your desire for excellence crosses the line into perfectionism? This fifteen-question perfectionist test can help you to better understand yourself, see the distinction between perfectionism and high achievement, and find out where your tendencies lie.

3

Do you feel like stress follows you wherever you go? Are you secretly hooked on the rush of adrenaline that comes with stress and drama? This test will help you determine if you are a secret adrenaline junkie, and if you are, will provide you with tips and resources for keeping your stress levels lower while maintaining an exciting life

4

Do You Worry too Much?

Is your level of anxiety just enough to motivate you to make positive changes in your life, or do you think you might worry too much? This quick 10-question self test can help you assess your level of anxiety and tendency to worry, so you can see if you're experiencing excessive levels of stress and anxiety.

If you think you may have an anxiety disorder, this test shouldn't replace a physician's opinion, but it can give you an idea of whether or not your levels of anxiety are within the norm.

5

Do You Have a Resilient Personality?

While some resilience is associated with inborn personality traits, there's much you can do to develop your resilience level, and this quiz can help! The questions are designed to measure different attitudes, habits, and traits that are associated with resilience. Your results include an assessment and targeted resources just for you.

Sometimes it's not what you say, it's how you say it that can make or break a situation, or a whole relationship. Do you relate to others assertively, or do you cause unnecessary additional conflict and stress in your life with aggressive, passive, or passive-aggressive styles of relating to others?

8

These questions will help you look at obvious and subtle clues in your behavior and patterns that can help you assess whether or not you exhibit Type A personality characteristics and could benefit from some changes to safeguard your health, happiness, and stress levels
