Illinois Professional Engineer License Renewal Deadline for 2019
All Illinois Professional Engineer continuing education and license renewal deadline must be completed by November 2019.

Illinois Professional Engineers, your 2019 license renewal deadline is quickly approaching. Illinois PE must renew license in November of odd years and are required to complete 30 PDH Professional Development Hours per biennium. No PDH carry over is allowed to the next biennium.
Illinois does not approve providers of PE continuing education or courses and ensures quality of the continuing education experience by requiring courses to meet the following criteria:
- Contribute to the advancement, extension or enhancement of the professional skills and/or scientific knowledge of the licensee in the practice of professional engineering;
- Foster the enhancement of general or specialized practice and values of professional engineering, related sciences and engineering ethics;
- Be developed and presented by persons with education and/or experience in the subject matter of the program.
Illinois requires non-resident licensees to meet the Illinois requirements but does permit the non-resident licensee to use continuing education taken to satisfy requirements of another state to count for credit if the requirements of the other state are equivalent to those of Illinois.
